Team Thrives Group (“Team Thrives”) was launched in 2020 by its co-founders that originate from finance, real estate and hospitality backgrounds whom have built global businesses based on the strong foundations of trust and transparency, with the vision of entering into life-long partnerships and creating sustainable long-term value with all of its stakeholders.
Team Thrives incubates and invests in talents, IPs, and companies to capture emerging opportunities principally in the consumer, technology, media and entertainment sectors globally. Given our strong relationships with a myriad of world class investors, Team Thrives also considers acting as co-founders of investment platforms and funds. Together, our co-founders have been involved in investments across a wide variety of sectors with tens of billions of dollars of capital deployed globally ranging from the Americas to Asia.
Team Thrives has strong fundraising capabilities due to our founders’ close ties with blue-chip institutional investors, sovereign wealth funds, wealthy family offices, and high net-worth individuals across Asia. Throughout the course of their businesses, our founders have successfully raised billions of capital.

Founder of Team Thrives
Dr. Terence Chan
Founder and Principal Investor
Dr. Chan has more than three decades of experience in finance, infrastructure and real estate investments and developments in Asia and North America. He holds various roles as Chairman, principal, partner of Asia Impact Investment Corporation, Bay Area Capital Partners Limited, HSL Capital, other funds and asset management companies. Dr. Chan has raised and participated in billions of dollars of transactions with over many trophy mix-used real estate developments in landmark locations across Asia involving private and public equity investments, corporate restructurings and asset injections, distress debt investments, bond issuances and initial public offerings.
Dr. Chan maintains close ties with blue-chip institutional investors such as Singapore’s GIC, wealthy family offices and high net-worth individuals across Asia.
Dr. Chan was previously a Director of fund management for Grosvenor Asia Pacific Limited and subsequently served as the Chief Executive Officer of HSL Capital.
Dr. Chan has a Doctor of Philosophy in Finance. In addition, Dr. Chan graduated with a Master degree in Real Estate and Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Hong Kong. Dr. Chan is a qualified Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS), Fellow Certified Public Accountant (FCPA), and Certified Financial Technologist (CFT). On a personal level, Dr. Chan is a keen and an active investor in the media, entertainment, consumer goods and technology space.
